[USL PRO] Trinidadian
Kevin Molino, the first player signed by Orlando City for its 2015 MLS launch, was named the USL PRO
Player of the Week for his hat trick in a 3-1 victory over the Charlotte Eagles in a rematch of the 2013 USL PRO championship.
Molino, who was joined by Orlando teammate
Ryan Burke on the Team of the Week, now leads USL PRO with eight goals, but is being hotly pursued by two other Team of the Week selections in Richmond’s
George Davis IV and LA Galaxy II’s
Chandler Hoffman, who both sit one back with seven.
Davis IV, who
scored both goals in Richmond’s 2-0 win over Charlotte, was joined by defender
Conor Shanosky, on loan to the Kickers from D.C. United.
Hoffman also bagged a pair of goals as the Galaxy II claimed a 5-0 victory over OKC Energy FC on Sunday night. He was joined on the Team of the Week by Los Dos Homegrown player
Bradford Jamieson IV, who also had a pair of goals, his first as a professional.
Sacramento Republic FC (
Thomas
Stewart and
Dominik Jakubek) and the Wilmington Hammerheads (
Jordan Hamilton and
Christian Davidson) also earned a pair of selections. Charleston Battery’s
Amadou Sanyang completed the Team of the Week as his goal
proved the gamewinner in a 1-0 win against Pittsburgh.
