Dempsey is set to start against Turkey

The USA traveled to New York Thursday afternoon after breaking camp at Stanford University in Northern California, where it had been based since May 13. Dempsey had been limited in his movements at practice on Wednesday but is expected to be ready for practice ahead of the Turkey game.
''We kind of made sure he's not going sideways," Klinsmann told reporters before the team departed Palo Alto. "That was kind of bothering him and worrying him a little bit. He's all good. Today they have an easy [regeneration] day [work in the pool], travel day.''

The USA will train Friday and Saturday morning -- the Saturday session at 11 a.m. will be open to the public -- at Red Bull Arena before the match against Turkey. It will also participate in a Pep Rally in Times Square, part of an ESPN FC Special that will air live on ESPN from 5-6 p.m. ET.

The U.S. camp opened with a heat wave in normally temperate Northern California, but Klinsmann said the team had an "amazing experience" on the Stanford campus.
''For me as a coach," he said, "I think I've never had a better setup than this. I understand European teams coming over here, like Juventus here during preseason, two training fields, the locker room they kind of decorated for us. Going to eat lunch with the students, it's all top quality. The climate in California, you can't beat. It's been terrific, top, top so far.''
TURKEY-HONDURAS. Turkey beat Honduras, 2-0, on Thursday night on goals in the last 20 minutes from French-based star Mevlut Erding and Caner Erkin. The Catrachos, who faded in the second half, played six current or former MLS players. The game drew a crowd of 20,733 fans at Washington's RFK Stadium.
Sounds like Klinsy is setting it up for the camps to take place closer to his turret twitter son who has been accepted to CAL. I wonder if Jonathan will get held out of a camp or two for defaming Donovan. Probably just missed a supper and got the telly taken away for a spell...
