The viewership was up 48 percent compared to the Bayern Munich-Borussia Dormund final in 2013. The only UEFA
Final to combine for more viewers on both channels is the 2011 edition featuring Barcelona and Manchester United (4.2 million).
The Fox broadcast delivered a 1.1/3 household
rating/share with an average audience of 1.9 million viewers. The addition of younger male viewers drove this year’s increases as the rating for the men 18-34 demographic was up 67 percent over
last year’s performance (1.5 vs. 0.9). In the key male demographic, it outpaced the NHL conference finals.
FOX Deportes’ coverage of the final was the No. 1
Spanish-language sports program for the day with 1.2 million Hispanic viewers and its third most-watched in network history.
