was subjected to chants of "U.S. reject" by some Chicago Fire fans
on Sunday but got the last laugh by scoring
his 137th career goal to deny the Fire a home win.
Donovan raced into to meet a low pass across the goal from Robbie Rogers
and hammered it left-footed high into the goal.
Each goal Donovan scores now extends his all-time MLS regular-season scoring record, which he broke last weekend when he hit No. 135 to surpass Jeff Cunningham
retired in 2012.
