German takes World Cup snub sitting down

[OFF THE POST] Stefan Kiessling is making the most of his World Cup snub, appearing in an advertisement by German do-it-yourself company OBI. The ad features the prolific Bayer Leverkusen striker relaxing in his garden and saying, "It is always best at home."

Germany coach Joachim Loew is taking only one out-and-out striker, veteran Miroslav Klose, to the World Cup. Hoffenheim's Kevin Volland, the only other forward in the provisional squad, was dropped.

Despite 40 Bundesliga goals in the past two seasons, Kiessling has not played for Germany since the 2010 World Cup.

"Stefan Kiessling and OBI support our boys," the OBI ad also reads.
