Australia's Wilkshire misses out on third trip to finals

[WORLD CUP 2014] Coach Ange Postecoglou reduced Australia's squad for the World Cup to 23 players when he dropped Luke Wilkshire, who played at both the 2006 and 2010 tournaments, did not figure in Postecoglou's plans since the new coach replaced Holger Osieck in November, and three other players.

Striker Josh Kennedy and playmaker Tom Rogic were injured. The fourth player cut was Newcastle Jets goalkeeper Mark Birighitti.
