Oxlade-Chamberlain Out Two Weeks

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is optimistic he will be able to rejoin his England teammates at the World Cup finals after scans on his right knee revealed that he has not torn the ligaments and will thus only be ruled for two weeks. The Arsenal winger was injured in a second-half clash with Ecuador’s Carlos Gruezo during the teams’ 2-2 draw at Sun Life Stadium in Miami on Wednesday. Despite the good news about the youngster’s injury, Coach Roy Hodgson may yet opt to replace him in the England squad.
