Inzaghi Replaces Seedorf at Milan

AC Milan on Monday confirmed that former striker Filippo Inzaghi has replaced former midfielder Clarence Seedorf as the club’s first-team coach. The writing had long been on the wall for the Dutchman, whom Milan President Silvio Berlusconi described over the weekend as part of the club’s “past.” The delay in naming Inzaghi head coach came down to the negotiations over the parting of ways with Seedorf, who was appointed to a two-year contract in January. Milan won 11 out of 19 Serie A games last season under Seedorf, but only managed to finish eighth, outside of European qualification.
