The third part to Nike's pre-World Cup ad campaign launched with its usual cast of characters, including Cristiano Ronaldo
, Zlatan Ibrahimovic
, Andres Iniesta
appearing in new form. The five-minute video, part of Nike's "Risk Everything" trilogy, is an animated feature.
The story line of the
short film is the players must save soccer from a future dominated by robots and devoid of beauty.
"The idea behind 'The Last Game' is to show the world that Nike, like any true lover of
football, believes that the game should be brilliant, daring and bold," said Nike's chief marketing officer, Davide Grasso
, in a statement. "Having the
confidence to take risks is absolutely vital in football. Imagine a world without the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo, the acrobatics of Zlatan or the wizardry of Neymar."
