Chivas USA will keep Mexican star Erick Torres

The 21-year-old Torres' future with Chivas USA was up in the air following the sale of the club by Chivas de Guadalajara owner Jorge Vergara
to MLS. The Mexican media reported that Vergara said Torres would be returning to Mexico at the end of his loan deal with Chivas USA in June.
Chivas USA will
have the option to retain Torres’ services beyond 2014.
Torres joined Chivas USA via loan in July 2013 and has amassed a total of 16 tallies in 29 appearances and is tied with Cuauhtemoc Blanco
as the all-time leading MLS scorer among Mexican-born players.
