Elephants settle for tie despite trunk advantage

[VIDEO PICK: Off the Post] Excitement for the World Cup has grown so much in the past few weeks that even elephants have been bitten by the World Cup bug. Students in central Thailand painted the elephants with various national flags, and challenged them to a game to show off their soccer skills.

While it seemed unfair that the elephants could use their massive trunks to carry the ball, one young boy still managed to score with three elephants in goal, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

The elephants, judging by one of their goal celebrations, seemed more enthusiastic than the Colombian sheep who played ball in the Andes last week.
