NBA Star Brings Dempsey His Face Mask

Former NBA shooting guard Richard “Rip” Hamilton on Thursday set off for Brazil on a mission: to bring USA forward Clint Dempsey, who broke his nose in the USA’s 2-1 win against Ghana on Monday, one of his famous masks to protect his face in subsequent games against Portugal on Sunday and Germany next Thursday. Hamilton began wearing a mask in 2002 and kept wearing it long after he needed to. In a Twitter post the 36-year-old said, “@clint dempsey if you need to borrow my mask I’m bringing them in my carry on bag.”
