Germany and Ghana produced the best game of the World Cup with an enthralling second half that saw Germany take
the lead, the Black Stars move ahead with two goals, before Miroslav Klose
equalized with his 15th World Cup goal, tying Ronaldo
for the all-time World Cup record.
All in the space of 19 minutes.
The game ended with a nasty clash of heads as Thomas
and John Boye
went for a ball in the air in the Ghanaian six-yard box.
The result means that the USA will advance to the next round
with a victory over Portugal on Sunday in Manaus.
If the USA and Portugal tie, the USA will need to beat or tie Germany to avoid being at the mercy of goal difference in case of a Ghana
win over Portugal on Thursday. (Portugal's 4-0 loss to Germany puts Portugal at a huge disadvantage in case goal difference comes into play.) Group
