What They're Saying: Jurgen Klinsmann

"The U.S. is known to give all they have in every single game. Otherwise Mexico wouldn't be here."

-- U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann upon being asked about the possibility of collusion between the USA and Germany in their final group game in which a tie would guarantee second-round passage for both teams. The USA, after already having clinched a spot in Brazil 2014, saved Mexico’s World Cup hopes with its performance in a 3-2 win over Panama. (USA Today)

What ass would even ask such a question? USA does not do bribery and match fixing like some small Arab states do.

If the game with Germany is tied 1-1 or 0-0 with 15 minutes to go, you can bet your sweet ass that both teams will be happy to settle for a draw. They will play but neither team will take any risks and put that extra guy forward to get the winning goal.
