Cal South teams clean up at Region IV finals

[U.S. YOUTH SOCCER] Teams from Cal South won 11 out of the 16 titles at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region IV Championships in New Mexico. The winners in the under-13 through under-19 age groups have earned berths in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships July 22-27 at Maryland Soccerplex in Germantown, Md.

    Can someone please explain what is going on with Cal-N and in particular U19 PAC Tigres? Cal-N essentially flails at every other level of play but then wins BU19 (presumably the most difficult level at which to advance)? More power to them since they are not considered one of the "top clubs" in the region but obviously are doing something right to advance. This is an all-Hispanic team, as I understand it. Curious minds want to know. Are these kids bypassed by the college system and/or academy system, playing in Mexico...what's the scoop?
