Altidore will sit out Germany game

[BRAZIL 2014] Jurgen Klinsmann is counting on getting Jozy Altidore back on the field at the World Cup. It just won't be Thursday against Germany. The striker was ruled out of the deciding Group G game as he continues to recover from his strained hamstring.

“We’ll get him back in this tournament, as we said," said Klinsmann on Tuesday before the U.S. team flew to Recife to prepare for Thursday's game. "Once this game, hopefully, is done successfully, we’ll have a good chance to have him back in the team.”

The U.S. players went through a light practice at their training center at Sao Paulo FC’s Barra Funda training complex.

All other players, including Matt Besler, should be ready for the Germany game. Besler again suffered tightness in his hamstring at the end of the Portugal game, but Klinsmann said his defender would be ready.

Give up Jurgen!! Jozy is unfortunately out for the entire world cup. Hamstring injuries take a long time to heal. Call Landon :)

Yeah I agree, however klinsmann a cannot call up any players unfortunately according FIFA rules. Hamstrings injuries can last a minimum of 2 wks-6months assuming its a tear. Hopefully if it is a strain he can play, but even if that's the came he'll be out of shape.

If its a strain he can come back, but he may
Be a little rusty. He is definitely not out of
    Shape in so little period.

Didn't look like a strain to me the way he pulled up and grabbed the hamstrings. He was in agony. I would bet on a tear
