“We’ll get him back in this tournament, as we said," said Klinsmann on Tuesday before the U.S. team flew to Recife to prepare for Thursday's game. "Once
this game, hopefully, is done successfully, we’ll have a good chance to have him back in the team.”
The U.S. players went through a light practice at their training center at
Sao Paulo FC’s Barra Funda training complex.
All other players, including Matt Besler
, should be ready for the Germany game. Besler again
suffered tightness in his hamstring at the end of the Portugal game, but Klinsmann said his defender would be ready.
