Cup match ever on ESPN or ESPN2 behind the USA-Portugal and USA-Ghana matches that kicked off at 6 p.m. ET.
The telecast ranks as ESPN’s most-viewed weekday, non-holiday, afternoon

In addition, the USA-Germany
match also garnered multiple audience records for WatchESPN:

-- 143,000,000 live minutes viewed.
Such was the demand that some fans said they could not get the WatchESPN feed.
In addition, Univision reported that 1.7 million watched the USA-Germany on its free digital stream.
