Team Chicago makes it three Region II titles in a row

[U.S. YOUTH SOCCER] Team Chicago Academy Botafogo won its third straight regional title with the under-19 girls crown at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships in Beavercreek, Ohio. NSA Jaguars (U-17 girls) and Michigan Wolves (U-15 boys) also defended their titles. The winners in the under-13 through under-19 age groups have earned berths in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships July 22-27 at Maryland Soccerplex in Germantown, Md.

Team Chicago defeated OP Eclipse from Ohio South, 2-0, in the U-19 final on goals by Zoe Swift and Elizabeth Bartels.

Illinois and Michigan each won five titles. Ohio North captured two, and Kansas and Missouri each had one championship team.
