[U.S. CLUB SOCCER] Leo Garcia has been named the National Premier Leagues General Manager, filling a position at U.S.
Soccer Club vacated by
Chris Baer, who became the executive director of coaching at Ohio Premier SC.
Garcia, the current director of event
marketing and operations with U.S. Club Soccer, brings 11 years of U.S. Club Soccer experience to the position. He was hired in 2003 as an event manager.
“The NPL is an exciting
component of U.S. Club Soccer, and although I’ve been involved with the NPL since its inception, I’m looking forward to an even larger role now,” Garcia said. “I am committed
to helping the NPL continue to better serve the needs of its member leagues, clubs and players.”
Nineteen leagues from across the country will make up the 2014-15 NPL season.
