[MLS ALL-STAR GAME]
U.S. World Cup defender DeAndre Yedlin
is among 20 Homegrown players named to the inaugural Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game roster
that will face the Portland Timbers U-23s at Providence Park in Portland. The game on Aug. 4 will take place two days before the AT&T MLS All-Star Game in which the MLS All-Stars will face Bayern
Yedlin, who is the subject of extensive interest from clubs abroad after his excellent World Cup, played in the 2013 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. He'll likely again play in the
main event -- if still in MLS -- in which case a Homegrown player will replace him on the Homegrown Game roster.
Players representing 12 MLS clubs will make up this year’s Homegrown
team. The squad includes two players -- Karl Ouimette
and Wandrille Lefevre
-- on the Montreal Impact, which has a
Concacaf Champions league game on Aug. 5 against FAS of El Salvador.
The Timbers U-23s are 4-4-4 in the amateur PDL, whose regular season ends July 20. 2014 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Roster: Goalkeeper:
