Report: Liverpool to Sign Markovic

PA Sport is reporting that Liverpool will finalize the signing of Lazar Markovic from Benfica on Tuesday after the Merseyside club triggered the 20-year-old’s 20 million pound ($34 million) release clause. His arrival would take coach Brendan Rodgers spending to close to $103 million in the offseason so far, following the arrival of Southampton duo Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana, as well as former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can.
