Chelsea on Wednesday announced that it has reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid over the transfer of left back
Filipe Luis for a fee believed to be around 20 million pounds ($34.3
million). The Brazilian defender joined Atlético from Deportivo La Coruna in 2010 and played 180 matches, helping the Rojiblancos win La Liga last season in addition to playing in their 4-1
extra-time defeat to rival Real Madrid in last season’s UEFA Champions League final.
