Japanese carmaker Nissan on Thursday became the first official automotive partner of English Premier League champion Manchester City, in a deal that is understood to be far larger than similar deals struck by Chelsea and Audi or Arsenal and Citroen, although Manchester United’s shirt sponsorship deal with Chevrolet is worth considerably more. According to the Daily Mail, the sponsorship is worth “tens of millions” to City, which includes the Premier League club, New York City FC, Melbourne City in Australia and the Man City Ladies.
