AC Milan forward
Robinho could soon be on his way to joining former teammate
Kaka at Orlando City, the player’s agent,
Marisa Ramos, said on Friday. Though talks are
“at an embryonic stage,” the former Brazil international would -- like Kaka -- spend the rest of the year at a Brazilian club before joining the MLS club for the start of its season in
March 2015.
“There has been a formal offer from Orlando City, as confirmed by [AC Milan vice president]
Adriano Galliani,” Ramos
told Globoesporte. “The two parties are negotiating. If this move does go through, moving to Brazil for six months first is certainly an option. He couldn’t stay for six months
without playing. His contract with Milan expires in 2016 and discussions are at an embryonic stage. He could be loaned to Orlando City or even sold. We’ll listen to the proposals and see what is
to be done.”
If Robinho does spend six months on loan in Brazil, the candidates are expected to be Santos or Flamengo, the report said.
