New Jersey's PDA wins first national championship

[DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY] Brian White scored one goal and set up Ryan Peterson for the second goal to lead New Jersey's Players Development Academy to a 2-0 win over first-year academy team Bethesda-Olney in Saturday's Development Academy under-17/18 championship at StubHub Center.

White, who will attend Duke in the fall, scored his eighth of the postseason and 28th of the season. The title was the first Development Academy championship for PDA.

Fabio Morelli scored in the third minute of stoppage time to give the Montreal Impact a 3-2 victory over FC Dallas in a back-and-forth third-place game in the under-17/18 age group. over FC Dallas. Oscar Romero twice put FC Dallas ahead, but the Impact got equalizers from Mitchel Bringolf and Alexander Kulic to set up the game-winner from Morelli.
