U.S. U-17s fall to host Denmark

[OPEN NORDIC TOURNAMENT] The U.S. under-17 national team lost its opening game at the Open Nordic Cup, dropping a 2-0 decision to host Denmark in Kolding.

Mark Brink Christensen and Marco Harboe Ramkilde scored in the first half for the Danes.

The U.S. U-17s consist mostly of players on the second team. Four players -- goalkeeper William Pulisic, defender Edwin Lara and forwards McKinze Gaines and Elijah Rice -- will join the first team at the Copa Mexico de Naciones, which kicks off Saturday in Mexico City. They all started Monday against Denmark.

Next up for the USA: Norway on Tuesday. Norway beat the Faroe Islands, 3-1, on Monday.

    Well, a 2-0 loss is not good, however the team will learn more from losing that one than winning. http://footballgames.club
