After only nine games into its 14-game home schedule, Sacramento Republic FC has broken the USL PRO season attendance mark with 118,107 fans for an
average of 13,123. The previous record: 112,784 set by Orlando City in 2013.
Republic FC drew a sellout crowd of 8,000 fans Saturday night for its 5-0 win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
It played its first four games at Hughes Stadium while work on Bonney Field at Cal Expo was being finished. It drew sellout crowds of 20,231 for three of its four games at the Sacramento City College
Orlando City played in the Florida Citrus Bowl in 2013 when it set a USL PRO attendance record with an average of 8,056 fans a game. It is playing at the 5,200-seat ESPN Wide
World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort during the 2014 season while the Citrus Bowl is being renovated. It will play its first MLS season in 2015 at the Citrus Bowl and then move into its
new downtown stadium in 2016.
Orlando City and Rochester finished 1-2 in attendance in USL PRO in the league's first three seasons. No other team averaged more than 5,000 fans a game.
