Bayern Boss Not Allowed To Board Plane to USA

Bayern Munich executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, along with six youth players and three crew members of FCB-TV, were unable to board the club's flight to New York because of "technical problems with the U.S. visa processing system."

Bayern plays Chivas Guadalajara on Thursday in New Jersey and the MLS All-Stars Aug. 6 in Portland.

"It's annoying, but that's life," said sporting director Matthias Sammer. "There's nothing we can do about it now. Hopefully he'll be able to join us soon."
