Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Wednesday announced that Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina would soon be a Bayern player after the club’sreached an agreement over the 31-year-old’s transfer. Reina, who has 33 caps for Spain, had been linked with potential moves to Serie A giants AC Milan and Napoli — having spent last season onloan with the latter — but Rummenigge claims that a deal is nearly completed. Reina is expected to be the German champ’s No. 2 goalkeeper, behind German World Cup winner Manuel Neuer.
