A British court on Wednesday heard that 21-year-old West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison, who was arrested last week and charged with two counts of common assault for allegedly punching and slapping his ex-girlfriend Reah Mansoor and her mother on July 27, had threatened to throw acid in the face of Mansoor, blow up her house, and have her killed.

The former Manchester United youth player Morrison was initially remanded in custody on July 31 before being bailed. His bail conditions are that he lives in Canary Wharf, London, does not contact the two women complainants directly or indirectly, does not go on to the street where they live, and does not enter the Greater Manchester area except for a court appearance, to see his lawyers or to visit for a West Ham game in the area and to return to London immediately after the match.

Morrison, who transferred from United to West Ham in 2012, spent last season on loan at Birmingham and QPR.
