BBC Sport is reporting that Arsenal has agreed a fee of 15 million pounds ($26.2 million) with Barcelona for the sale of Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen. The28-year-old central defender must now negotiate personal terms and pass a medical before moving to the Camp Nou. Vermaelen joined Arsenal from Ajax for 10 million pounds ($16.8 million) from Ajaxin 2009, making 150 appearances for the North London club.
