Lavogez stars again in France's second win

[UNDER-20 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP] France joined North Korea as the only teams to win their first two games at the Under-20 Women's World Cup in Canada with a 4-0 win over New Zealand.

Playmaker Claire Lavogez continued to make a case for player of the tournament as she had a goal and an assist to lead the Bleuettes past the Junior Ferns. In the 5-1 win over Costa Rica, Lavogez scored two goals, including the goal of the tournament (see below). Substitute Clarisse Le Bihan added two late goals in the win over New Zealand.

In Group C, Nigeria, fourth at the 2012 Under-20 Women's World Cup, took the lead with a 2-1 win over South Korea in a matchup of the African and Asian champions. USC's Tanya Samarzich scored to give Mexico a 1-1 tie with England, the second draw for both teams.
