What They're Saying: Miguel Herrera

"It's his decision obviously, but I think Donovan is very young. I think he can continue giving results. I think the decision might be due to him being left off the World Cup roster. It was a dream of his to be there. It's a personal decision, but hopefully he can look back and change his mind."

-- Mexico national team coach Miguel Herrera, who said he is very happy he won't have to worry about retiring Landon Donovan any more when El Tri plays the USA. (ESPN FC)

Sometimes I think the Mexicans appreciated (feared?) Landon much more than a lot of Americans did. Ah, well...it was a wonderful run while it lasted. Thanks for all the memories, Mr. D.

I think that is the Nicest thing that Herrera has ever said about anything connected with US Soccer, I'm still waiting for "Thank You" to Zusi, for getting Mexico thru to Playoffs
