Javier Perez's squad of 20 players for the U.S. under-18 national team's trip to the
Vaclav Jezek Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic includes youth stars
Haji Wright and
Mukwelle Akale, who are at
Schalke 04 in Germany and Villarreal in Spain, respectively.
Both players are too young to sign contracts with their clubs. Wright is 16, and Akale is 17.
Collin Fernandez,
Coy Craft and
Sebastian Saucedo, who have all signed Homegrown
contracts with MLS clubs, are among the players that will represent the U.S. under-18 national team.
Also called up was U.S. national team head coach
Jurgen Klinsmann's son,
Jonathan, and
Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is currently part of Tottenham's U-18
squad.
