AC Milan on Thursday confirmed that striker Mario Balotelli has said goodbye to the club’s teammates and staff and said that he will join Premier League giant Liverpool after the twoclubs agreed a fee of 16 million ($26.5 million). Last Sunday, following Liverpool’s 2-1 win at home to Southampton, manager Brendan Rodgers expressed the need to find another striker,especially after loaning Belgium striker Divock Origi out to Lille for the remainder of the season. Balotelli scored 30 goals in 54 games for Milan.
