Crystal Palace sporting director Iain Moody resigned on Thursday as the English FA opened an investigation into alleged racist, sexist and homophobic text messages between Moody and MalkyMacaky when the pair were employed at Cardiff City. According to Reuters, Cardiff submitted a dossier to the FA regarding the alleged misconduct of Mackay, its former manager, and Moody,its former head of recruitment. Mackay had been expected to become the new Palace manager and be reunited with Moody at Selhurst Park, but a deal collapsed on Wednesday. Palace has sinceconfirmed that Moody has left his role.
