[VACLAV JEZEK TOURNAMENT] Mukwelle Akale added to his growing reputation as he was named the top player at his second
international tournament this year after scoring the winning goal in the U.S. under-18 national team's 1-0 win over Ukraine in the final of the Vaclav Jezek Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic.
Jonathan Klinsmann was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.
Akale, whose Cameroonian-born father
Ralph operates a soccer school in the Minneapolis area, was named the MVP of the 2014 Copa del Atlantico in Spain. He spent time in the U.S. U-17 residency program and more recently played for
the Minnesota Thunder academy program. He signed a pre-contract to join Spanish club Villarreal when he turns 18 in January 2015.
Akale scored the only goal in the final on an assist from
Cameron Lindley in the 47th minute.
The USA had earlier beaten Hungary, 3-1, and host Czech Republic, 3-2. Klinsmann was in goal for the Hungary
game.
Bwaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..... See kids, as long as daddy's got the job you can publicly make an ass of yourself and still be invited to the next National team camp and tourney, and be named ass of the tourney...
This just means they know who his daddy is and they want more US teams to come back. Its all just rubbing elbows... it even says he was only in on the Hungary game. What a f'n joke and just goes to show the crap politic in soccer.
BJ, if you want to attack someone, do some minimum amount of research at least. Team USA played total of three games, Jonathan K started two of them. He played in the final (as well as the first game against Hungry) and got shutout win.
