Terriers upset Eagles with another comeback win

[BOSTON UNIV.-BOSTON COLLEGE: Women] Boston University erased a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat No. 13 Boston College, 2-1, on Sunday night on a pair of second-half goals. It was the second time in three days the Terriers came back from a goal down to win.

Junior Jenna Fisher, who scored the winner on Friday night in the 2-1 win over La Salle, tied the game in the 54th minute before freshman Christina Wakefield scored the winner on a pass from Rachel Blauner in the 79th minute.

Sophomore goalkeeper Bridget Conway relieved senior Alyssa Parisi at halftime and made four saves to earn her first collegiate win in just her second career appearance. Conway’s best stop came with just under 10 minutes to play when she tipped a shot from Eagles star Stephanie McCaffrey over the bar.

BC grabbed the early advantage off its first corner kick of the contest when Lauren Bernard's ball deflected off Parisi’s hands and into the back of the net.

BU will travel to South Carolina to face the No. 25 Gamecocks on Friday before also taking on College of Charleston in Columbia on Sunday.
