, the top men's assistant the past two years at Massachusetts, has been named the
Minutemen's interim head coach following the death of Sam Koch
. David Lindholm has left the Colorado Rapids, where he was the
director of media relations, to become the UMass assistant coach and work with the team's goalkeepers.
O'Neill had previous head coaching stops at defunct Division I program East Carolina
(1999-2002) and Division III Gettysburg (2003-09). He came to UMass following a two-year stint at Bradley in which the Braves participated in the NCAA Tournament each season.
