Brooks headed back to Bayern Munich

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Portland Thorns FC today announced that the club has loaned midfielder Amber Brooks is heading back to Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, this time on loan from the Portland Timbers following the end of the NWSL season.

When Brooks, 23, joined the Thorns this season, Bayern Munich manager Karin Danner complained of the perceived pressure on Americans to join the NWSL though she added the club would not stop Brooks from returning.
 
Brooks, the former North Carolina star, made 19 starts for Thorns FC in 2014 after playing parts of two seasons for Bayern, where she scored 10 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.
 
Another Thorns player is headed to Germany. Spanish star Vero Boquete has signed with 1. FFC Frankfurt.
