Three transfers to watch

KEVIN CORREA (New Mexico). Correa scored 13 goals as a sophomore for St. Francis (N.Y.) before making the move to Albuquerque to join the Lobos. He helped lead the Terriers to an NEC title by scoring four goals in the NEC tournament and earning NEC Tournament MVP honors. He ranked second in the NEC in goals as a sophomore after his 11 goals were first in the conference the year before.
Correa, who played at Flushing (N.Y.) High School, should step in right away and help the Lobos, who return James Rogers and Niko Hansen (both seven goals in 2013) up front and Canadian Ben McKendry and Jamaican Oniel Fisher and C-USA Freshman of the Year Chris Wehan in the midfield.
TREVOR HABERKORN (California). The 6-foot-3 Haberkorn joined Cal after appearing in all 18 games last year for Furman as a true freshman at centerback and helping guide them to an 11-5-2 record. In the spring, he played the U.S. U-20s, who finished second in the Gordon Jago Super Group at the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup.
"Trevor is a tremendous signing for our program,” Cal head coach Kevin Grimes said. “He has been involved with our U.S. national youth team program for several years. Trevor has all of the skill and ability to follow in the footsteps of the many great Cal central defenders who have gone on to be drafted and play in Major League Soccer and Europe."
Haberkorn should play right away. Center backs Steven Birnbaum and Christian Dean went 2-3 in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
LARRY NDJOCK (UCLA). Ndjock follows fellow German Leo Stolz, arguably the best player in the college ranks, in transferring from an East Coast program to the Bruins. Stolz previously played at George Mason, while Ndjock will enter the 2014 season as a junior and will have two seasons of eligibility left after scoring 25 goals at Loyola (Md.).
As a freshman in 2012, Ndjock led the MAAC in goals with 13 and won MAAC Rookie of the Year honors. He also had a great sophomore season, leading the Patriot League with 12 goals.
