Seattle Reign dominates NWSL Best XI selections

[AWARDS] The regular-season champion Seattle Reign FC leads all teams with four players on the 2014 NWSL Best XI (and three more on the Second XI). Seattle hosts FC Kansas City, which has three Best XI picks, on Sunday in the NWSL final at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Wash. (live on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET).

Four players -- Sky Blue FC defender Christie Rampone, FC Kansas City defender Becky Sauerbrunn, Seattle Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock and FC Kansas City forward Lauren Holiday -- were voted to the Best XI for the second consecutive season.

Sixteen of the 22 players on the two teams are Americans. And of those 16, 13 have been called into the U.S. women’s national team training camp ahead of a pair of matches against Mexico. The three players not called up were Seattle Reign FC defenders Kendall Fletcher and Lauren Barnes and Portland Thorns FC forward Jessica McDonald.

Holiday (Cheney) is not a forward, so how can she be one on the "best" eleven?
Politics, and soccer, a distasteful mix.
Come to think of it, politics and anything is pretty nauseating.
