Soccer America Men's Top 25 Scoreboard

[ROUNDUP: Weekend] Freshman Christian Chavez's goal in the 74th minute gave No. 1 UCLA a 1-0 win over No. 6 New Mexico before more than 5,000 fans in the final game of the Grange & Ashwill Tournament in Albuquerque, N.M.

A Leo Stolz penalty kick in the seventh minute gave the Bruins the lead, but it was their only shot of the half as the Lobos had a 7-1 edge in shots and equalized on James Rogers' goal in the 31st minute.

Chavez's winning goal came after Bruin goalkeeper Earl Edwards sent a long ball to near the top of the box. UNM goalkeeper Jason Beaulieu came out to challenge Abu Danladi for the ball, and the ball came out to Chavez, who scored into the empty net.

The Bruins finished their four-game road trip at 3-1-0 with wins over three Top 25 teams.
