What They're Saying: NESCAC men's coaches

"As a supporter, we ask you not engage in any unsportsmanlike actions, which include booing, taunting, profanity, rude language or gestures, or any other action that could be potentially construed as negative or confrontational."

"any other action that could be potentially construed as negative or confrontational."

Pretty much everything falls into that category including just rooting for your team.

"Booing" should not be included in the list. Fans have the right to express their displeasure at players, coach or administrator by booing.

Gus, I can see booing professionals...after all, they're being paid to play, coach or referee. It's supposed to be their job to perform well.

But lay off the kids...whether they're in grade school through college. The younger kids should be playing because they love the sport and it's fun. Depending on the college division level, some of the players are playing for the exact same reasons...they get no financial help from playing...others are playing for a scholarship that helps put them through college, plus the aforementioned reasons.
