Howard gaffes cost Everton dearly at home

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Everton's defensive troubles in the English Premier League continued as it dropped a 3-2 decision at home to Crystal Palace.

Just three days after tying a Europa League record for saves in a game, Tim Howard was to blame for the first two goals -- one on a penalty kick he conceded and the other on an own goal after he punched a ball off Palace's Frazier Campbell into his goal.

He has now given up 13 goals in five games, the most in the EPL.

England ...

The unbeaten start of Brad Guzan's Aston Villa to the English Premier League season came to a crashing halt as it fell at home Arsenal, 3-0, on three goals in 192 seconds. Guzan, one of several Villa players battling illness, had three shutouts in four games but could do nothing to hold off the Gunners.

The Everton match was against Crystal Palace not West Brom. The loss was no less painful though.

Punched a ball off his face?? What are you watching!?

Tim came out and went up for the ball, took an arm to the face, missed the ball completely and the guy headed it in.

The penalty was a bad call, despite the fact that Howard booted the ball, because Tim got the ball and the guy fell over him. Soft call.
