FIFA Facing Increasing Calls for Transparency

FIFA is facing more and more calls for transparency from its members with vice president Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein of Jordon becoming the latest executive committee member to call for the results of the recent investigation into World Cup bidding corruption to be made public. "In the interest of full transparency, I believe it is important that the much anticipated report on the ethics investigation that is crucial to ensuring good governance at FIFA is fully disclosed and open to the public," the prince said in a statement. FIFA prosecutor Michael Garcia delivered the investigation he is referring to, to soccer’s world governing body earlier this summer; the results have not yet been made public.
