[ROUNDUP: Midweek] No. 12 Indiana gave up a goal to Robert Kristo from 35 yards after just 14 seconds -- tying the SLU record for the fastest goal to start a match -- but it recovered to beat No. 3 Saint Louis, 3-1, on Wednesday at Bill Armstrong Stadium. On Tuesday, No. 5 Louisville fell to Ohio State, 1-0, while No. 9 North Carolina dropped a 4-3 decision to UNC Wilmington. No. 22 Delaware lost to UMBC, 1-0.

By the 23rd minute, the Hoosiers were ahead on goals by Matt Foldesy and Jamie Vollmer. Tanner Thompson, brother of San Jose Earthquakes rookie Tommy Thompson, added the third goal in the 39th minute.

-- No. 4 Penn State won, 2-0, at Bucknell in front of an Emmitt Field record 1,510 fans. Mikey Minutillo scored his fifth goal of the year in the 17th minute for the game-winner, while Brian James scored his first Penn State goal with less than three minutes to play. 

-- No. 17 Marquette won its sixth match in a row by shutout with a 2-0 win over in-state rival Wisconsin on a pair of goals by C. Nortey. Charlie Lyon has 26 career shutouts, putting him just two behind the school record of 28.

-- Ben McKendry scored on a penalty kick after just 16 seconds in following a red card to Francio Henry, and No. 21 New Mexico rolled to a 6-1 win over West Virginia in Conference-USA play. Ryan Cain notched his fourth goal of the season in the 18th minute to tie the match, but after that the Lobos ran off five straight goals. Niko Hansen, Chris Wehan and Kevin Correa scored to make it 4-1 after 35 minutes, and Riley McGovern and McKendry scored two minutes apart midway through the second half to complete the scoring.

-- After junior Joel Salmeron scored in the sixth minute, UIC held off No. 25 Valparaiso to collect a 1-0 shutout victory Wednesday night at Flames Field.

--  Ohio State claimed a 1-0 upset victory at No. 5 Louisville on midfielder Yianni Sarris' goal in the 33rd minute. The Buckeyes were outshot, 15-6, but the Buckeyes held on to win, getting three saves from goalkeeper Alex Ivanov.

-- Jamie Dell scored twice, including the game-winner in the 80th minute, as UNC Wilmington topped No. 9 North Carolina 4-3, before a UNCW Soccer Stadium attendance record of 2,613 on Tuesday.

-- Nick Besler scored in the 107th minute to give No. 1 Notre Dame a 1-0 win over VCU.

-- Fabian Herbers scored in the fourth minute and Fernando Castellanos added an insurance goal as No. 10 Creighton defeated UMKC, 2-0, in a match delayed for 56 minutes after heavy lightning and rain.

-- Brandon Allen notched his team-leading eighth goal in the 78th minute to give No. 13 Georgetown a 1-0 win over Maryland.

-- Behind goals by David Mayer, Hans Honer and Kyle Parker over the final 22 minutes, No. 16 Charlotte rallied to defeat William & Mary, 3-1, for the 49ers' sixth straight win.

-- Darius Madison scored in 89th minute and again in 97th minute to rally No. 20 Virginia to a 2-1 victory over James Madison.
