Wright scores again in 2-0 win over Canada

[USA UNDER-17 MEN] The USA won its second game at the Panama Under-17 Tournament with a 2-0 victory over Canada. Alejandro Zendejas, who this week signed a Homegrown contract with FC Dallas, weaved through the Canadian defense and scored in the sixth minute while Haji Wright, who has been training at German club Schalke 04, added the second goal on a header off a corner kick for his 15th goal of the year in the 68th minute.

Zendejas, a product of the FC Dallas El Paso affiliate program, is the first U.S. under-17 player in the current cycle to sign with an MLS club. Many of the team's top players have signed or are training at academy teams in Europe.

Wright, who leads the USA with 15 goals in 2014, had scored a hat trick in the opening 5-2 win over Costa Rica. Schalke listed him this summer as a "Gastspieler" ("guest player") as he is too young to sign a pro contract. He's also played for the U.S. U-18s who won a tournament in the Czech Republic in August.

The USA will play host Panama on Sunday. Panama beat Canada 1-0 on Wednesday and defeated Costa Rica, 4-0, in Friday.
