Pulisic golazo closes out Panama City sweep

[USA U-17 MEN] Weaving through the defense and completing a run of 30 yards with a left-footed blast, Christian Pulisic scored his 12th goal of 2014 to give the USA a 1-0 win over Panama and a sweep of the Panama Under-17 Tournament in Panama City. The championship was the fourth for the U.S. U-17s in the last 10 months.

Pulisic, who recently moved to German club Borussia Dortmund from the U.S. residency program in Bradenton, Fla., broke the tie in the 86th minute.

The U-17s, who earlier beaten Costa Rica (5-2) and Canada (2-0) in Panama City, also won the Nike International Friendlies in Florida and tournaments in Turkey and Croatia.

USA -- Silva, Olosunde, Nelson, Varela, Arellano (Barbir, 38), Calvillo, de la Torre (Da Silva 64), C.Pulisic, Perez (Gaines 69), Zendejas, Wright.

I hope this team is for real. I'd like if it this tournament had included some high quality opposition, but somehow I doubt Panama, Canada, and Costa Rica are real world class teams in their age group.
