Petr Cech on Monday indicated that he could seek to exit Chelsea now that 22-year-old Thibaut Courtois has assumed the role of Stamford Bridge No. 1. Cech, who has made almost 500 appearances and 150 shutouts for the Blues, has made just two appearances so far this season, with his first Premier League appearance coming on Sunday against Arsenal when Courtois was substituted after sustaining a head injury.
"I think they know me well enough at Chelsea to know that the situation is definitely not the way I would imagine," the 32-year-old told the Czech media after joining up with his national team for upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Turkey and Kazakhstan. "With the European Championships in 2016 and the national team in mind, there is no time for me to sit on the bench and not to play. I have not spoken to anybody at the club but if the situation will not start to improve for me then I will want to solve it."
